Traditional Polish Dance
Polonez - Polish traditional dance - version without music
The polonaise (Polish: polonez) is a slow dance of Polish origin, in 3/4 time. Its name is French for "Polish"
The polonaise had a rhythm quite close to that of the Swedish semiquaver or sixteenth-note polska, and the two dances have a common origin.
Polonaise is a widespread dance in carnival parties. Polonaise is always a first dance at a studniówka ("hundred-days"), the Polish equivalent of the senior prom that occurs approximately 100 days before exams.
This is a simplified version.
Trojak - Polish folk dance
Trojak ("threesome", "trio", in Polish) is a Silesian folk dance. It is a double partner dance and performed in groups of three: one male dancer and two female dancers. The music of the dance has two parts: a slow one in 3/4 metre and a fast one in 2/4 metre. These parts are repeated several times, one after another.

Chinese New Year - Dragon Dance
The Dragon Dance
Dragons are of course legendary animals, but they are important to Chinese people who think of dragons as helpful, friendly creatures. They are linked to good luck, long life and wisdom. They have special powers so they can fly in the air, swim in the sea and walk on land. Dragon dances are performed at Chinese New Year to scare away evil spirits.Friday, 13 January 2012
